The end goal is to use all of these skills to build a foundation for my future career in psychoanalysis and psychotherapy and thrive academically on the road towards a PhD.

I am a very active person both physically and artistically. I enjoy hiking throughout Las Cruces and anywhere I visit as it connects me with nature and keeps me active. Illustrating has been a large part of my life since childhood and I have considered taking courses at New Mexico State University revolving around illustration. With academics and work taking up a large amount of my time I have had less time to express myself through drawing and painting but when the opportunity arises I take it. I also enjoy videography and photography as it's a window for another one of my hobbies which is film analysis. With videography, I tend to experiment with whatever camera I can get my hands on whether it's my iPhone camera or an old Sony digital camera. I enjoy capturing moments using film as I believe it is a very special way to view the world through a different lens besides your own eyes. As mentioned before I enjoy film analysis and it is by far the hobby I have invested the most time into. I enjoy watching American, French, Japanese, Korean, and many other independent films from around the globe. It allows me to learn new things about the different cultures that I get the opportunity to experience through film. Watching films all of my life has led me to analyze and dissect whatever I watch to get an accurate picture of what the director was trying to say within their work and it allows me to keep an open mind about not only aspects in my own life but of those all around me.
