As a retired physician who is transitioning into full-time chaplaincy, my background in medicine and surgery allowed me to see the need for compassionate care for patients, families, and healthcare providers in the medical system. The experience in Seminary greatly expanded my understanding of the spiritual needs of all people, regardless of faith orientation. I look forward to providing compassionate, sensitive spiritual care to everyone as a chaplain, drawing from a Christian foundation, knowing God's image marks all of humanity.
