I am currently a freshman at UW-Madison. I am majoring in accounting while I am here. It is especially important for me to build connections with people I am working with and I usually find that easy to do. I have had two jobs in my past, one was in fast food, and the other was in the trades working on gym floors. I learned many skills during both of these, including how to effectively communicate with others in different ways. I plan on using many of the skills I have learned in the past and using them in the business world in the future.
I work on re-finishing and helping with the installs of gym floors. I have worked for two summers and plan on continuing this into the upcoming summers.
I helped coach younger soccer players. Twice a week over the winter I would coach 10-20 kids at an indoor soccer field. I would work with one other person my age and we would give the kids drills and had to make sure they were participating.
I worked as a cashier, custard maker, and cook. I worked at Bubba's for three years and worked my way up throughout. I needed to know how to do all of these things and was even in charge of training new hires.
