- Adjust automobile liability, general Liability, bodily injury, and litigated claims; as well as seek subrogation for all but three of the Maryland County Public Schools.
- Investigate liability claims by using three point contact including communicating with the insured, the claimant, witnesses, medical providers and the attorneys or via scene investigation.
- Determine liability and accept or deny liability in a timely manner.
- Provide customer service via phone, e-mail or in person to Board of Education members, trustees, claimants, witnesses and attorneys.
- Maintain diary on all open liability claims.
- Negotiate and settle automobile liability, general liability and bodily injury claims with the claimants and/or their attorney.
- Participate in Arbitration Forums. Attend settlement conferences and mediations.
