My work history spans a variety of job descriptions and has allowed me to develop my skills throughout the 20+ years of working in a Licensed setting. The skills that I feel are necessary to become successful in any position: patience, problem solving, multitasking and prioritizing to name a few. These skills, in addition to self-motivation, determination, reliability and excellent work ethic drive to meet or exceed expectations. My heart and passion remains in providing the best care and services to the people served and work with.
In 2003 I was hired as a Direct Care Worker for Adult Learning Systems Lower Michigan. During my employment, I have had the opportunity to work in almost every position: Direct Care worker, Medical Coordinator, Residential Supervisor, Administrative Supervisor, Programs Supervisor, FA/CPR Instructor, RST Trainer, Regional Director and last the position held as a Corporate Trainer. The CEO was my direct supervisor. I was able to showcase my hard work, honesty and work ethic. Her standards and expectations were high, I learned so much from her as well as the Administrative team. In June 2018, my mother had broken both of her ankles and I took a leave of absence to care for her during recovery. This is why you may notice a gap in my employment, upon my return to work, I had applied for the Corporate Training position and received the promotion. I am currently still in this position as well as Regional Director duties in a Licensed Home.
