I dispatched for a little 10 years at the East Texas A&M University Police Department. I provided phenomenal assistance to callers and the walk-ins we had in our lobby. I have trained numerous new hire dispatchers over the many years. I was the Supervisor over dispatch for awhile until I stepped down to go back to dispatching. I ensured that the officers were safe and came home safe. I paid attention to details in call notes making sure times and correct information was input into our system. Prior to working as a dispatcher I worked in retail, food service, and in the school system as a Special Education Teacher's Aide and a Substitute Teacher.
