MANAGEMENT / ADMINISTRATIVE

  • Office Administrator with over 16 years of experience in office management, administrative support and successful operation of multi-specialty ASC. Surgical procedure scheduling. Courteously answers all phone calls in a timely manner. Consistently communicates in a positive manner with staff members, all employees, physicians, physicians office personnel, and other departments. Ability to remain calm under pressure. Screen, verify and update patient information for accuracy and eligibility. Answer questions, provide information, and educate patients and providers related to patient insurance coverage. Check-in all surgical patients, manage reception area, greeting public, vendors, patients/visitors and directing them to appropriate personnel. Monitor adequate function of surgical equipment and patient care equipment through contracted services and follow-up on repairs.

Schedule and assign all nursing and ancillary clinical staff.

Handling of all incoming and outgoing correspondence. Properly route agreements, contracts and invoices through the signature process. Liaison between the Governing Board and Medical Staff.

Reporting pertinent activities concerning the facility to the Governing Board at regular intervals. Ability to interpret and apply facility bylaws. Knowledge of legal and regulatory requirements governing ASC's.

Negotiate all external contracts with physicians, ancillary services, and purchasing agreements.

Work in conjunction with the Medical Director and Medical Executive Committee in the evaluation and development of existing and new surgical services at the facility. Oversee peer review process to ensure timely reviews of all provider records in the department.

Oversee medical record maintenance for timeliness, completeness, accuracy. Supervision of all contracted services pharmaceutical, laundry and biomedical engineering.

Establish and maintain all required aspects of Credentials on all Physicians and RN's on staff. Gather, analyze, and verify information on the medical education and specialized training of all practitioners and clinical staff who request privileges. Ensure facility is clean, professional, well maintained and conveys a feeling of confidence to our patients, their families and our physician customers.

Attend all mandatory in-services and meetings.

Responsible for accounts receivable and collections activities, maintaining timely cash flow.

Ability to organize work, set priorities, and delegate tasks/responsibilities
