I would really like to succeed in property management and hopefully one day I get the skills in the training that I need to become a regional manager to work in the corporate office so I can work at all the properties and learn everything I can about property management.

At Beacon management which was Wyndham Apartments, which was located in downtown Colorado Springs it was a senior citizen, subsidize housing property. There were two buildings. The property manager was responsible for managing and taking care of the one building and I was responsible for managing and taking care of the second building, at this job, I would take applications from senior citizens that were needing homes based off of their income. We would have to get their information such as banks statements, any kind of bonds or stocks that they would have if they owned homes any kind of cash assistance they were receiving from the state we would have to verify that we would have to take their section 8 housing checks if they would come in I would have to do end of month reports show apartments move them into their apartment homes I would also have to take their maintenance request. They did have any we were responsible for doing annual walk-throughs twice a year which I only did one and just making sure that they were comfortable and anything that they needed or any questions that they had I was there to answer. For my organized month Functions every month I would have a brunch or a luncheon for them and we will celebrate their birthdays by giving them birthday cards every month on their door for whoever birthday it was and also hand out any letters and I was responsible for creating the newsletter every month.

At Fort Carson family homes I was responsible for finding incoming soldiers that were being stationed to Fort Carson and their families that would fit their needs and what they would like. We also had to collect all of their information such as their Les we had to do background check at their previous home to check the conditions that they left the home in. We had to meet them at their home when they arrived at Fort Carson show them the home, read the least of them have them fill out the appropriate paperwork, answer any questions that they had. Show them how everything in the house works and we had to drive them around The Post to show them where the basic needs were that they would need as far as the grocery store the PX Restaurants parks community centers.

I started with Griffis Blessing as a housekeeper, and worked my way up to a leasing consultants. I felt that I wanted to work more with the residence, one on one versus being in the apartments just cleaning them and not being able to have more of a relationship with the residence and the incoming residence. I answered the telephone phones. I did their applications background checks took their application fees. I did the tours took them to show them the models of the apartment homes. I also organize resident functions attended the resident functions. I live on properties so I was responsible for closing and unlocking the pool every day, and this is also where I received my NALP national Apartment leasing professional certificate.

I am fluent with Microsoft Outlook. I had taken many fair housing classes so I am up-to-date with all of the fair housing rules.
