I stopped drinking in April 2002 and became an active member of Alcoholics Anonymous. Have sponsored people and gone through the steps with a sponsor. I currently have a sponsor. I still attend an AA meeting daily on Zoom. I have also struggled with cocaine over the years. Going in and out but always finding my way back to recovery. My sobriety date is 4/29/24. My experience is real, raw and includes parenting, marriage, being an oldest child and setting an example for others in and out of the rooms. I have dealt with death, financial loss, divorce, empty nest and most recently becoming a Grandmother. I do think I have a lot to offer people as a Woman in Sobriety. I plan to die sober. There truly is not another way for me to live. I do not do things perfectly but I am committed to being humble, teachable and enthusiastic about my sobriety. Having had many years of dealing with this in my own life I feel I could be an excellent Recovery Assistant.
I have a strong skill set and am confident I could do everything listed in the job description.
