  • Following my transitioning out of student government and system-wide advocacy efforts, I fulfilled my role as a full-time student organizer for social justice, seeking to redefine what it means and looks like to achieve equity in the state of CA, and undo the long 24 years of systemic racism and discrimination many people of color and women struggled under the current legislation, Proposition 209, which banned Affirmative Action in 1996.
  • I was 1 of the 4 original leading student organizers who were responsible for the becoming of Proposition 16 and the Yes on 16 Movement, as the Regional Lead/Field Organizer for Northern CA/Bay Area.
  • Developed partnerships with parents, businesses and organizations to build awareness, increase support and share resources.
  • Participated in strategy development and planning to grow organizing program and advance campaigns.
  • Fostered collaborative efforts to schedule, host and facilitate events and identify further opportunities to reach members of community.
  • Wrote e-mails, promoted events via social media and drafted phone scripts to recruit volunteers.
