Investigates reports of abuse, conducts home visits, evaluates the level of risk to individuals and families, makes the decision to remove individuals from unsuitable conditions according to legal guidelines and restrictions, provides information and referrals to other service providers and community based organizations, evaluates personal and psychological factors involving individuals and families, utilizes a systems or person­­-in-­­environment approach to assess family difficulties, undertakes intensive long or short­­-term treatment plans, monitors, evaluates, and implements case plans and compliance with court orders, facilitates groups, supports foster and adoptive parents, collateral agencies, and staff at Jamison Children’s Center in meeting the needs of children in their care, interprets social service rules, regulations, and policies to individuals and families, assists in the professional development of social service staff, conducts trainings, oversees field placement of interns in graduate programs, prepares legal documents, court reports, statistical, and/or other types of reports, maintains records, inputs data, and retrieves information from case management computer systems, administers drug tests by witness, conducts training presentations in specialized areas of expertise for staff and community.

Completed biopsychosocial assessments, evaluated personal and psychological factors in individual and family situations, interpreted social service rules, regulations, and policies to individuals and families, prepared family evaluation reports, maintained records, input data, and retrieved information from case management computer systems, provided information on agency services, requirements, and rotated through various departments to experience working with different populations.

Assessed individuals under the supervision of a licensed clinical social worker to help guide treatment planning, facilitated psychoeducational and therapeutic processing groups, and rotated through departments to experience working with different populations.

Planned, promoted, and managed parent workshops on assisting children with attaining academic success, provided informational resources, interviewed parents and children to assess needs, collaborated with community program leaders and advocates to make resources accessible to those in need, built a solid and trusting rapport with parents and children, fostering trust and communication to meet specific needs.
