  • From roughly the age of 16 to 18, I was a cook and shift lead for Dairy Queen. At this position, I was responsible for getting food out as fast as possible and ensuring the shift ran smoothly and efficiently. I counted money, made sure everything was turned off, clean, and locked up the store. I moved to go to college in San Angelo, in which I obtained a bachelors degree in criminal justice. While going to school I consistently worked 40 to 60 hour weeks for Dairy Queen up there. I quickly became the assistant General Manager there, and even filled in for the GM when he unexpectedly quit, I was even offered the job as the GM of that store, but declined as I did not want the position. My experience in this position includes maintaining filing systems, documentation, filling out spreadsheets, reports, inputting data, supervising the work of others, hiring/firing. There a lot of things that go into running a store, the big things include ordering truck/purchasing, reports, budgeting, spreadsheets, and so on.
