• Follows through with lEP objectives including math, reading, speech, independent skills, and managing behavioral deficits and excesses, one on one or as a general classroom aide
• Facilitates teacher-directed learning activities including lesson plans, worksheets, reinforcement systems, small groups, social games, and work assistance
• Assists students when included in general education classes
• Communicates pertinent information to teachers
• Accompanies students during recess and lunch periods, along with community experiences
• Strictly adheres to confidentiality requirements regarding all matters pertaining to students, parents, parent communications, and/or classroom activities.
(Note: Unless instructed otherwise by supervising teacher, all parent communication is the responsibility of certified personnel)
• Assists with activities of prescribed programs including those written by related service personnel such as PT, OT and SLP
• Assists students in the development of independent skills through self-care

activities such as toileting, clothing routines, feeding and personal hygiene
• May be asked to assist in behavior management techniques at the direction of the teacher and/or other school professional (i.e. BCBA, Psychologist, etc.)
• Assists teacher with clerical duties including making stimuli, making copies, maintaining a clean and organized classroom, preparing materials, and assignment scoring
• Assists with transfers and ambulation
• Appropriately reports changes in client status or as directed by IHP/IEP

• Provide the necessary personal assistance and activities of daily living (ADL) for residents: bathing, oral care, skin and nail care, hand washing, grooming, shaving, dressing, weighing, bed making, and trash removal.
• Answer resident call signals.
• Assist with toileting, including bowel and bladder retraining and perineal care.
• Assist with meal service delivery
• Observe resident’s conditions, measuring and recording food and liquid intake and output as needed and vital signs, and report changes and observations to wellness staff.
• Complete all documentation as needed to maintain the current health status of resident.
• Participate in the planning of resident care through shift reports and resident care staff meetings.

• Assists teachers and/or clinicians in the implementation of student's IEP and BSP goals
• Collects data for assigned student per IEP and Behavior Plan
• Observes and addresses behavioral and educational objectives of assigned student in the classroom by prompting/redirecting student to task and following teacher's direction in providing individualized Specially Designed Instruction (SDI)
