Currently I work for a small Broker/Deal (Finance) which I’ve been employed at for 27 years. The company was in NYC from 1997 until 2010, at which time I managed an office of over 40 people, as well as supervised a staff of 5 Administrative Assistants. My duties varied greatly from day to day, as well as from year to year. I’ve worked in both the HR capacity, as well as in both Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable. I’ve managed the calendars of several C level executives simultaneously, as well as making travel arrangements (both domestic and international). I have also worked as a Personal Assistant in this position as well. I feel my strengths lie in “wearing many hats” and being able to multitask, especially in high pressure situations. I have (both in this position and in prior ones) managed heavy call volume, with the majority of the calls requiring the ability to decide which situations took priority over less urgent calls, as well delegating work as needed. I understand the importance of knowing that each day may bring a new challenge, situation or experience that may not exactly be in one’s “job description.” I encourage new tasks and being able to succeed at whatever may be given. Confidentiality, attention to detail and efficiency are upmost in a professional atmosphere.
