• Support Public Health Administration in various areas as needed.
• Support various programs within Public Health including Environmental Health Services, Communicable Disease Section and the Preparedness and Response Program.
• Promote adherence to best practices in public health by staying current on industry trends and incorporating new knowledge into program design.
• Facilitate communication between stakeholders, promoting collaboration in the pursuit of shared goals.
• Conduct trainings on relevant topics for staff members, increasing overall competence and expertise within the team.
• Conduct thorough needs assessments to identify gaps in existing services and assist in program development.

Worked as a lead or collaborated as a team member in the following areas:

• Training- develop a training program and documents to train new staff,
• HELP- (Health Education and Liaison Program) - provide additional education to food facilities struggling with their health inspections,
• Elevated Risk- determine which food facilities continuously do not meet expectations to ensure more follow up is done,
• LEARN (Liaison Education and Risk Network) class- established an additional food safety class and collaborative network for food facility operators,
• Non-permanent food facilities- establish procedures and policies for our street vendor and temporary food facility operations,
• Envision Connect- establish the new database used by all of Environmental Health Services,
• Productivity Monitoring- assist in developing and analyzing a series of reports and timelines used to monitor staff productivity and accountability,
• Emergency Response- establish procedures and train staff in environmental health emergency responses,
• Act as a lead and subject matter expert in the camp program, the housing program, the soft serve program, the training program, the food program, the non-permanent facility program, the Duty Officer program, and the emergency preparedness program. Supervise the HELP program. Work as part of the development and maintenance team for the EHS computer database, Envision Connect. Assist in developing technology to be used to advance the field of environmental health services,
• Act as a liaison with the Communicable Disease Section to establish and update procedures in foodborne and waterborne investigations,
• Act as a liaison with the Preparedness and Response Program to provide support as needed when an emergency response is required,

As a field and then lead inspector:

• Conduct inspections and investigations in all areas of the Community Environmental Health Program.
• Assist in training new staff.
• Act as the County Training Officer, representing San Bernardino County at the State level.
• Act as a lead team member for the establishment of the Envision, then Envision Connect databases.
• Assist the supervisors as needed.
• As a lead inspector, act as an interim supervisor when the supervisor was not available.
