Starting playing the accordion at 4, Lena has been involved with music in choirs and concerts besides playing the accordion. Since Lena grew up, she has been participating in music not only by playing instruments but also by doing research and spreading music through more platforms, like exhibitions, radio shows. And Lena decidedly chose Musical Studies as her major after coming to Oberlin. During freshman year, Lena went to internship at both Shanghai Concert Hall and Classical FM 94.7 in her hometown, assisting in the department of public relations. In Oberlin, Lena is an active member of WOBC radio station as both a DJ in Classical Music Channel and the head of international workgroup. Besides, she participated in Performing Silent Film Scores winter term project as an accordionist and Contemporary Opera Puppy Episode as a dramaturg. And in this summer, she works in Oberlin Undergraduate Research Program with her mentor Professor James O'Leary.
