  • I currently work in the Medical Records Technical Section as a Medical Records Technician/Inpatient Analysis. Working with the patient’s Inpatient Documents. To compile, process and maintain patient medical records in a manner consistent with medical, administrative, ethical, legal, and regulatory requirements of the health care system. Resolving and clarifying codes, diagnosis, and treatment with conflicting, missing or unclear information by working closely with Doctors, Nurses and other Health Care Personal. To ensure that the record is more complete for reference in continuing patient care; for protecting the legal interest of the patient, physician, and the hospital. Coordinate medical release of information (ROI) in accordance with established laws, rules, and regulations regarding patient confidentiality. Codify medical information for billable and reimbursement purposes. Being organized and manage patient medical and health information data by time and date and scanning them into the Electronic Health Record (EHR). Knowing the basic knowledge and skills of Admission/Discharge Transfer System (ADT), Resources and Patient Management System (RPMS), Vista Imaging System that captures, scanned documents, motion video and other non-text data, and makes them part of the patient’s electronic medical record. Vista Imaging Capture imports or captures clinical images including gray scale and color images, scanned documents, and other non-textual data files and makes them part of the patient’s electronic medical record, and also practicing the Health Information Portability and Accountability Act (HIPPA).

  • I worked in the Medical Records File room as a Medical Records Technician/Scanner. Sorting out incoming documents from outside facilities to clinics within the hospital. Working with the basic knowledge of E.H.R, Vista Imaging, Capture, and RPMS system. Scanning outside documents, Reference Labs and Consent Forms as a priority in the facility. Pulling charts to file documents and analyzing charts. With a small amount of knowledge of coding, analyzing charts checking if chart needs to be re-filed or sent to incomplete for billing. Completing any and all mandatory online training such as NO FEAR Act, Initial Ethics Orientation, and Records Management with more upcoming training in the future. Also practicing every day, the scale of HIPPA/Patient Confidentiality in our facility. Answering phone calls as soon as possible due to some emergency stats. Maintaining a positive and happy behavior within our work environment.
