Work History

Engineer IV Specialist - Network Field Assurance

  • Created and led the 850 NW (Nation Wide) Process for Southern California in conjunction with System Performance and Sr Engineers. This helped Project Management and others realize that Network Assurance can perform the work they were previously giving to Ericsson.
  • Successfully deployed 850 NW for both Phase 1 in March/April 2020 and Phase 2 in November/December 2020. Both took an immense amount of coordination with my team and others from different groups. The time to finish these projects was limited and we had to work at a fast pace. Presented to CTO Kyle Malady our accomplishments and the process of 850 NW.
  • Project managed the 850 NW project for our team. This included ordering parts, installing basebands, and scripting. Also working on more complex sites and discovering how to properly convert them. Coached members of my team to become more self-sufficient during phase 4 in order to migrate to another project.
  • Completed the first successful 5G site including Integration and Transport in the San Fernando Valley. (Disney Studios)
  • Drove the deployment of the Toy Cell for the Chatsworth Office. Worked with multiple parties to get the site up and on-air.
  • IP Vulnerabilities Tiger Team- My tasks were with the power plants and DAS equipment. I worked in conjunction with the vendor to see if their product could be secured and be brought up to Verizon's standards.
  • Super Bowl Tiger Team (Special Teams)- Coordinated efforts for practice and dry-runs. Discovering issues that may arise during Super Bowl week and possible solutions. Discovering how to best utilize the tools for the Super Bowl in order to teach others. (OC Tool, Playbook, and SP coordination)
  • Super Bowl Lead - Monitored multiple tools and coordinated efforts of multiple parties of the most problematic zone in the Super Bowl. I ensured both LADWP and the GC (General Contractor) were both working our tickets in a timely manner and I would offer support as needed.
  • • CBAND Prime Lead- Leading our team for CBAND POR duties. Coordinating efforts to reach our projected CBAND milestones in a timely matter.
  • DWDM Implementation - Assisted with multiple Uplift conversions.
  • Taught multiple classes and created multiple MOPs for my team including but not limited to:5G MMW SCL integrations, RET troubleshooting and building, NRCell builds for CBAND. Also created a presentation for NP about the responsibilities NA has.
  • LA North Employee of the Quarter (2021) - Received 3rd place during the 1st quarter and 1st place during the 2nd quarter for this. I was recognized by my peers for the work I did during that time.

  • Completed drive testing, Data Collection, while using DMAT, and sending Activation Notices (With System Performance)
    Completed multiple NCDs (New Site Builds) including integration of all types of Backhaul with Ericsson equipment
  • PSS4 Upgrades learned by Shadowing Nokia and implemented a process for my team to follow.
  • TLU/PMU/OSU programming provisioning learned by shadowing Nokia and trained my team in that process.
  • Completed multiple AWS3 and 850 GB (Ground Base) adds for the existing cell sites.
  • Completed the on-air process of multiple DAS systems in a very limited window. High profile sites completed include the Rose Bowl, Rose Parade, Burbank Airport, and the Burbank Towne Center Mall.
  • Worked with multiple Project Managers and General Contractors on DAS sites in order to ensure it came up in a timely manner. Also ensured the site was optimized after being put on-air in conjunction with System Performance and the DAS owner for that site.
  • Took on the role of becoming the SME for scripting on our team.
  • Responded to the Thomas, Woolsey, and Hill Fires and assisted in SPOT deployments. Integrated multiple COLTs to restore service to fire affected areas.

    • Completed the Build and Design of the equipment and cabling in Phase two.• Completed the Integration and Optimization of the cellular site in Phase three.
  • Scripted and built the router along with the controller of the base station.

  • Adhered to grounding, power, and other critical standards in order for the site to pass rigorous audits from AT&T, Verizon, and/or Ericsson
  • Ensured all discrepancies were fixed from the audit in a timely and cost-efficient manner.
  • Additionally I ensured all work from the SP (Secondary party) was done to standard and met all quality guidelines.

Accomplishments

  • ED Coin of Excellence - As a lead engineer for C-Band, I worked multiple nights expanding A-Block to 100 MHz and activating B-Block. I worked side-by-side executing the scripts and working any fallout to activate B-Block to nearly 2000 sites in the market.
  • Superbowl Defensive MVP - Awarded the "Defensive MVP" game ball for my contributions during the Super while monitoring and coordinating efforts for one of the most challenging areas in all of Los Angeles.
  • Army Achievement Award (AAM)- Awarded the AAM while in Iraq for providing overwatch to coalition forces while utilizing our unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), which saved lives and prevented any type of collateral damage.
