• Increased swim team membership twofold since joining.

• Supported new coach's advancement to full-time leadership position.
• Implemented training strategies that led to improved team outcomes.
• Negotiated partnership with a community pool to expand swim team to a new season, partnering with a swim league that the YMCA had not previously partnered with.
• Created detailed proposals complete with comprehensive cost analysis and safety plans. Helped submit contract for approval.
• Grew lifeguard certification program by more than double revenue and participants in first year managing program.
• Saw an increased demand and made a plan to meet with an increased LGI staff team.
• Pursued plan by achieving Lifeguard Instructor Trainer certification, selected qualified staff members to train as LGIs, and put together an ambitious training schedule for the coming year.
• Sought to improve swim team experience at an association level.
• Recognized an inefficiency in swim meet flow, as well as errors in scoring set up and time standards. Created new order of events, and updated time standards where needed by analyzing data from previous time standard proposals and USA swimming.
• Sought to improve program expertise amongst directors and coaches by planning seasonal league meeting, one on one admin trainings, as well as championship meet entry trainings. Maintained relationships with other teams as the go-to resource for team management and swim meet expertise.

Came up through YMCA Aquatics from part time roles as lifeguard, swim instructor, swim team coach, to part time leadership as swim lesson coordinator, head swim team coach, pool manger, to full time leadership at both Shady Grove and Tuckahoe YMCAs.

Long experience has given me varied view points from the differences of working in larger and smaller departments and branches, to acting in almost every aquatics position offered in this association.

I have proven my commitment and passion to the YMCA's missions and values and especially those of our local association.
