Lilian Killeen

In my Research Assistant position, I conduct investigations and experimentations on different psychological topics using a variety of methods. In my leadership position as Lab Manager, I serve to help my fellow lab members' success in their research and improve the HEART lab work environment and community.

Assistant Responsibilities: data collection, data coding, data transcription, data verification, psychological interviewing, thematic analysis, and organization of scientific findings into presentable formats.

Management Responsibilities: file intake and organization, ensure safety and proper protocols, maintain cleanliness and cooperation, aid in the communication between the HEART lab and other entities, strategically plan and run lab events and meetings, Delegate tasks, and orchestrate online media updates and advertisement on several different platforms.

Accomplishments:

• Co-author of a research study presented at the Midwestern Psychological Association (MPA) conference of 2024
• Promoted to Lab Manager

I applied and was chosen to take on the leadership position of resident assistant while at the Harlaxton College study abroad program in Spring of 2023.

Responsibilities:

• Accounted for safety and well-being of approximately twenty other students
• Cultivated bi-weekly meetings to tackle any complaints and concerns
• Monitored and addressed any policy violations
• Handled on-call duties, including being available and prepared to help in any situation while normal staffing and resources were unavailable during the weekends

Since High School, I have been periodically employed by the outstanding local business, Mitchell’s Homemade Ice Cream. There I acquired the administrative position of team leader and worked to improve the shop for customers and team members alike in a larger capacity.

Responsibilities:
• Maintained a clean, safe, and friendly work environment
• Orchestrated cooperation of whole team during shifts
• Ensured integrity of shop appliances and goods
• Practiced proper food storage, inventory, creation, and serving
• Opened and Closed the shop securely (key-holder)
