Summary

I’d feel that my ability to be a successful sales associate with proven expertise at Kentucky Farm Bureau would be seen as an accomplishment. With excelling in customer service and relationship building, and being recognized for enhancing client satisfaction through effective communication and upselling strategies, adept at managing high-pressure situations while maintaining a calm demeanor, and ensuring a positive experience for clients and colleagues alike that I’m a formidable asset in every industry. And if I’m not, then I’ll learn and adapt to become exactly that. Other achievements I’d say would be my teaching strategies and leadership. I have taught hundreds of preschoolers and kindergarteners throughout the years and during that time I have kept them safe, happy (usually. Haha) and made them feel seen, heard and even loved. I say in that itself is a huge accomplishment. I excel in every aspect of my work life and will continue to do so in any and all workplaces. I take great pride in my work, in my name, and in everything that I do.

  • Built relationships with customers to encourage repeat business.
  • Maintained calm demeanor and professionally managed issues in busy, high-stress situations which you can imagine when dealing with people going through a stressful time in their lives like losing a family member or a tragic storm/fire/etc that changed their lives; this kind of calmness and quick thinking is needed in such situations.

Being a teacher and molding our youth has been one of my favorite experiences. I have enjoyed teaching early education for 15 years now! Through fun, engaging and at times personalized and one on one teaching I have created a loving, safe, supportive and fun classroom for my students throughout my career. A few ways I’ve done this successfully is listed below.

  • Monthly anecdotal reports to ensure progression in my students. If we don’t see improvement then we break down why, and find ways to possibly improve their learning experience.
  • One on one play, discussion (so they feel seen and heard) and learning.
  • Daily circle time and repetition in the learning process.
  • Chatting with my students parents/guardians in one way or another every day to fill them in on their kiddos day. Whether good or bad.
  • Speaking of, in a situation I may need to fill in a guardian of their child acting out I use what is known as the sandwich method. If you don’t know what that is, us teachers usually start off with something good, then the not so good, and then another positive. This helps the guardian to know we not only see the bad but also celebrate the good!
  • Monthly antidotal
  • Creating a healthy, open and safe space for students to feel and express their emotions and then to discuss and learn about what exactly they’re feeling and how to navigate those feelings.
  • Daily arts and crafts! My fav.
  • Personalized writing pieces for my young pupils to learn their names, birthdays, phone numbers and addresses. This is for independence and safety. Also, a journal for writing to not only help them learn through identification but also to write and spell all sorts of words independently.
  • Age appropriate science experiments to keep their little minds questioning the wonders of the world.
  • Nature walks and experiments. This helps the students understand how important nature is and how it needs to be respected. Learning about nature and its importance, our hand in its survival is vital for everyone’s future.
  • I remember that every child comes into my classroom with their own knowledge, background, experiences and influences. I take this opportunity to welcome my students into a loving, nurturing, and safe space where they get to learn not only about the world, but themselves.
  • Developed engaging lesson plans tailored to diverse learning needs.
  • Facilitated classroom activities that fostered student collaboration and critical thinking.
  • Implemented assessment tools to monitor student progress and adapt instruction accordingly.
  • Managed classroom environments to promote positive behavior and effective learning.
  • Provided individualized support to students, improving understanding of complex concepts.
  • Integrated technology into lessons to enhance student engagement and learning outcomes.
  • Participated in professional development workshops to stay current with educational best practices.
  • Developed strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues by maintaining open lines of communication and fostering a supportive learning environment.
