Internal Responsibilities
Provide stability and leadership during the organization’s transitional period
Oversee operations and provide guidance to staff members
Oversee and manage the organization's finances and budget
Develop and update internal organization systems including staff roles & responsibilities and organization’s Expense Policy
Oversee monthly and annual operational reports to the City
Facilitate weekly meetings with individual staff
Board of Directors Responsibilities
Coordinate and collaborate with the Board
Coordinate Board meetings and agendas
Coordinate Executive Committee meetings and agendas
Facilitate financial reviews with Board Treasurer and Operations and Finance Manager
Assist with Board development and recruitment

External Responsibilities
Collaborate with the Mayor’s Office on the Executive Order and Downtown Activation Plan
Drive successful implementation of the City Block Program, including facilitating district meetings and ensuring actionable outcomes are achieved
Sit on the Mayor’s Neighborhood Advisory Commission
Participate in Team Whatcom
Participate in the Opioid MAC Group
Drive successful implementation of placemaking initiatives
Facilitate regular safety and economic development communications with City managers and the Chamber of Commerce and ensure productive outcomes
Organize Downtown Neighborhood meetings
Advocate for the business community's collective needs through various feedback mechanisms and collaborate with the City of Bellingham to implement solutions

Submit quarterly and annual reports
