Program Director for Benifits Savings Check-Up Program/ SNAP Coordinator
Primary Objective: Is to engage with clients to find out what programs or benefits they may qualify for and assist them with application and obtaining documents required to apply.
Benefits such as Medicare Savings Program, LIHEAP, SNAP, Volunteer Assisted Transportation, getting them connected to Social Services for houssing or case managment.
Monthly Outreach to inform the community of services offered through CAC and OOA as well as our other Community Partners.
Complete monthly reports for all applications and tally of outreach contacts and information destributed at each eventI took part in.
Maintain a public presence through health fairs and presentations as much as possible. Explore other oppertunities to share this with others.
Office hours are spent returning calls, and emails. Meeting with clients updating spreadsheets and files aswell as ongoing training on programs. Answering incoming calls to the Information and Benifits Department.
Supervision of volunteers that assisted with returning calls,follow up inquiries on clients, making copies, maintaining paper files.
