Partnered with Beaufort County as consultant on opioid-abatement initiatives / programs, which led to kickstarting comprehensive employee wellness and preventative programs. Developed plan for on-site medical clinic and manage employee assistance program (EAP). Plan, organize, and coordinate health and fitness activities, classes, and speakers. Work with human resources (HR) team, manage projects, and use knowledge of HIPPA, ADA, DE&I, and other laws.

Employee Wellness Highlights:

  • Surveyed 1500+ employees to determine health needs, analyzed health claims data to determine top health diagnoses, and determined overall wellness of the workforce to create and implement strategic wellness plan.
  • Developed first work plan to build employer-sponsored medical/health clinic; built trust meeting with department leaders, county council, local hospital executives, and other stakeholders to gather input on project.
  • Created content and Hosted show called "Be Well Beaufort".
  • Prevented serious outcomes for 10% of employees that attended the first health fair and referred them for prompt medical attention. Provided follow-up for less serious medical conditions.
  • Provided grief counseling and support to employees immediately following a tragic and sudden employee death.

Consulting Highlights:

  • Provided Beaufort County with strategies to address and remediate the impact of the opioid epidemic; addressed gaps in communities and worked collaboratively across county with all stakeholders for optimal impact.
  • Contributed to one of the first apps using AI that provides opioid addicts, families, and stakeholders access to treatment services and connection to counselors; presented app to county, which contracted to coustomize and use with their services.
  • Partnered with technology expert, YPoint Analytics, to develop health related apps. Supervised a tech team of coders and developers virtually for a period of over a year to bring projects to completion, and prepare them for market.
