  • Created and facilitated BEYOND Innovation Summit: Yearly, month-long summit with over 40 guest speakers and 25 different sessions
  • Tapped into resources across the organization as well as brought in Learning & Development industry experts to collaborate and deliver to our staff
  • The goal was to inspire innovation and improve employee engagement
  • 82% of our 400-person team voluntarily attended at least 3 sessions, resulting in a 22% reduction in self-reported burnout rates
  • In this role I also partnered with other leaders and staff to develop and deliver the following programs: on-boarding & Optumization Welcome Week; Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion; Employee Development, Emotional Intelligence; Specific Job Function Growth: Manager Development, Strength Finders, ACT Change Management, Delivery, Design, and Business Acumen (reporting, finance, data analytics)

  • Our training programs included: on-boarding, new hire job specific training, up-skilling and cross-training, as well as systems and process training for commercial clients and medical providers
  • My span of control included an Assistant Director, 7 Managers, and their staff of 70 - 100 full-time employees

  • Client Learning - external training for commercial customers on systems and applications created by Optum as well as clinical training for providers in the UHG network
  • In 2022 utilizing Thought Industries we delivered training to 30,000 external users totaling about 20,000 hours of learning
  • AARP Member Support Training
  • Annual New Hire ramp for Open Enrollment -each year the client hired 500-1500 call representatives for 6-months
  • 2023 we trained 1300 staff in the US and the Philippines
