When the weather's right and my knee is in its standard, healthy status, I love running along the Lake Shore path. I also love cycling but got away from it while living in NYC and traveling so much. I picked it back up w/ a Divvy membership and the close proximity of miles of path along the lake. I love to read non-fiction, generally human dev./psych, spiritual, health, Jewish studies. I go to my or a gym in spurts. I became a personal trainer in college and love occasionally helping people w/ developing a fitness/nutrition program.
I've unintentionally lived a very unique, blessed life. I was blessed to work as a nanny or babysitter for a number of wonderful families before having a family of my own. At this juncture, I have recently come to realize that I find little in life more deeply rewarding than family life and spending time with children. I've lived in a number of places for very good, responsible reasons, usually educational. I had an import business that had me traveling to Thailand, Hong Kong and Bali, Indonesia after graduating. I've been blessed to have traveled quite extensively before children, with my family and most rewardingly with my kids (post-divorce). I home-schooled my twins twice, again, for ideal educational experience reasons. The second time was "unfortunately" their Sr. year of high school but we spent that yr in Israel and Europe and all survived. I'd rather work in a family setting as opposed to a corporate setting or strictly doing something on my own, independently. I love being around and working with people and especially when children are involved.
