Work History

Volunteer

California Scholarship Federation
10.2022 - 05.2024
  • Completed domestic tasks in shelters and group homes to assist people in need by participating in my school's Thanksgiving food drive.
  • I took the opportunity to give back through providing canned goods and put food in stomachs. I carried a box of 40 or so cans of fruit and vegetables I bought and found in my kitchen cupboards.
  • Planted and maintained gardens to provide fresh produce for individuals in need.

Volunteer

La Verne University
06.2023 - 07.2023

  • Living one-on-one as a caretaker to partner for the week Maddy with Down Syndrome had me running back to her dorm whenever she forgot her toiletries, recall her dietary restrictions when spoon feeding in the dining hall, and other daily tasks.
  • Patiently waited in the pharmacy line to collect Maddy’s medicine never failed to remind me the health of a girl I just met was now fully in my hands.
  • My purpose then was to be a full-time guardian. I walked her to the bathroom so to could shower, dress, cut up her breakfast into tiny pieces, and brush her teeth.
  • Recognizing and listening to Maddy's needs fostered me to be an incentive to those in need and prove nobody is incapable.

Volunteer

8th & 10th Annual Riverside Tamale Festival
04.2022 - 04.2023
  • Handed out water bottles, folded up chairs, helped set up games so children could play and made corn husk dolls.
  • Maintained clean, neat, and operational tamale booths so my tables can attract customers with my tidy set up.
  • Picked up litter all over the park to place in trash bags to keep the happy and hungry environment sanitary so much where I volunteered a second time the following year.

Volunteer

Heal the Bay
10.2022 - 10.2022
  • Participated in HTB Nothing But Sand beach cleanup where I disposed 2 miles worth of straws, cans, and bottle caps off the sand using grabbers that otherwise would’ve runoff into the ocean.
  • Threw plastics into trash bags from my filled up bucket, earning us around 50 lbs of debris pocketing the highest amount collected at an event.
