I began strength training in 2012 and competing shortly after. I lost a niece to bulimia in 2007 and that is when I became interested in how I could manipulate nutrition in a manner to be healthy and fit. In 2011 I got divorced and found comfort in strength training and being physically and emotionally strong. The nutrition, strength training and cardio made a perfect trio to begin competing. I was addicted immediately and compete in IFBB to this day.
I was a cheerleader in college and taught UCA and OSU cheer camps and would run in The Columbus Marathon and New Albany races. I have a Masters in Education and taught high school and elementary school and tutored children.
My two coaches Ashlyn Little (IFBB Bikini)) and Fakhri Mubarak (IFBB Pro) keep me focused and allow me to push harder and be better. It is important to have a trainer to keep you in a positive mindset, teach you how to achieve goals and educate you with training routines. I believe having a personal trainer is crucial in a fitness journey.
