· Serves as Training Specialist for Office of Legal Education (OLE), responsible for administration and training program design, development, management, execution, revision, and evaluation of current and new programs to meet training needs and goals of Department of Justice and other federal, state and local agencies that support DOJ mission.
· Responsible for planning, analysis, design, development, operations, and evaluation of training programs in legal education area of civil and criminal support programs. Participates in pre-course planning for training events.
· Recommends appropriate course content sequence, and faculty.
· Applies knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design principles to improve quality, efficiency, and effectiveness of training.
· Advises training working group and subject matter experts on education delivery methods to improve training and maintain participant interest.
· Reviews training objectives, suggests appropriate instructional methods and activities for most effective delivery of course content and provide advice and guidance to faculty on ways to improve program and delivery through application of instruction design principles.
· Communicates with subject matter experts about resources available to maximize training experience. Conducts analysis, designing and coordinating of program materials and tools to enhance learning.
· Identifies strengths and weaknesses of course material and makes appropriate updates to ensure effective training delivery.
