

Patient Care Nursing Assistant supports nursing staff in treatment and care of patients by assisting with daily life activities, transportation, cleanliness and performing basic nursing procedures taught during training and certification program. Identifies individual therapeutic requirements to care for personal needs, safety and comfort of patients and promotes positive physical, social and psychological environment. Practices medical asepsis, respects dignity and privacy with patient and family and maintains objectivity during patient care.
Implement measures beneficial to the client's needs. For example, ensuring that safety measures are in place for transfers and ambulation
Provide Activities for Daily Living, in the form of personal hygiene, appropriate attires, hair and nail grooming
Encourage clients to participate in social activities based on their level of mobility
Provide assistant in choosing a well balanced diet in line with the dietary plan
Ensure medication adherence by assisting/reminding the client
Accompany clients to various appoints
Communicate with family and medical team on clients progress and report any changes
