• Prepared, processed and store patient specimens and samples (blood, 24 hour urine, wound cultures and biopsy obtained by clinician) according to departmental procedures using standard techniques and equipment.
• Utilized standard procedures for the maintenance of positive patient identification.
• Performed finger stick and heel stick to obtain blood sample for laboratory testing.
• Prepared and organize patient specimens for testing.
• Order supplies for our lab
• Enter urinalysis, pregnancy, hem occult and glucose test results in computer.
• Pediatric, family and internal setting, perform vital signs, EKG, injections, wound dressing, ear lavage, spirometry, peak flows, pulse oximetry, breathing treatments.
• Assist clinician with procedures ; pap smears, lacerations, sigmoidoscopies and circumcisions.
• Answer direct and follow up on high volume of incoming calls, take messages, medication refills
• Maintain and clean exam rooms, treatment areas, medical equipment and lab.
