Since embarking on my journey in higher education, I have always been drawn to the criminal justice field. In 2019, I earned a certificate in Corrections from Kellogg Community College. Shortly after, I made the decision to stay at home with my children while continuing my education. During this time, I explored an interest in nursing, serving as a resident assistant and excelling in pre-nursing courses. However, I ultimately chose to return to my passion for criminal justice and am now on track to graduate with an Associate's Degree in Criminal Justice this coming May.
Though I have primarily focused on being a stay-at-home parent since 2019, I have consistently advanced my education to prepare for my future career. The time I've spent at home has been incredibly fulfilling, providing valuable perspectives, but I am now eager to apply the knowledge I’ve gained and begin my career in the field that has always inspired me.
