As a former employee of The Jackson Laboratory with over 7 years of experience, I offer a strong match to the qualifications matching the Research Administrative Assistant opening. I am very excited to apply for this position and utilize the knowledge and skills I have acquired while being part of such a respected company. Since my employment began at The Jackson Laboratory I had steadily moved up into various roles that have allowed me to show my level of responsibility and determination regarding my work. I have taken advantage of all the courses offered at JAX. In my 4 years as a Research Assistant II some of my daily tasks included managing and coordinating projects with internal and external laboratories. I collected and uploaded data into shared drives for the Shock Centers PI’s. During Covid I got familiar with the use of softwares like webex. In previous employment, I managed 3 local stores where my tasks involved ordering, hiring, book keeping, conduct employee meetings and working with various people and venders. I think these skills will be beneficial to this position. I look forward to speaking to you at your earliest convenience regarding this opportunity at JAX. Regards, Mackenzie Leland
