· In charge of taking 5-year-old to and from pre-school and responsible for getting 3-year-old on and off the bus for his “pre pre-school” language development schooling.

· Started as a farmhand in August 2022 and was promoted to Assistant Farm Manager in November 2023.

· Deep cleaned and sanitized green houses before 2024 growing season started.

· Assisted in re-covering a green house in new plastic and patching holes in other green houses.

· Ordered organic seeds to grow plants for the annual plant sale and the farm’s growing season.

· Assisted in seeding thousands of organic vegetables and perennials for the plant sale and for the farm’s growing season.

· Managed green house production for the plant sale by dividing up seeding, transplanting, and watering tasks for farmhands and volunteers.

· Worked the full plant sale, answered customer questions, restocked, and made sure everything was adequately watered all while preparing the farm for the upcoming growing season.

· Prepped beds for the season by weeding, putting down compost and Re-vita, using a Tilther, and either transplanted or direct seeded into beds.

· Maintained crop beds throughout season by either hand-weeding, or by using wire-weeders or collinear hoes.

· Covered rows of crops with insect netting or shade cloth when necessary.

· Assisted in setting up drip tape and Wobbler Sprinklers and was responsible for running irrigation on designated days.

· Continued to “flip” or prep beds and plant into again after single-harvest crops were harvested (ex. beets, carrots, lettuce).

· Continued to work in the green house throughout the season to seed new crops and make sure everything was watered daily.

· Trellised and pruned crops, specifically tomatoes.

· Harvested and washed vegetables and portioned them out for our 80 Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) members.

· Set up and was present for the full CSA pick-ups and sold items from our farm stand during CSA hours.

· Seeded cover crops and mulched beds with leaf-mulch before the winter.

· Used Kubota to move materials, specifically wood chips, compost, or leaf mulch.

· Used Google spread-sheets to keep track of seed inventory.

· Cleaned out and reorganized barn storage area.

· Interviewed, hired, and trained seasonal workers.

· Attended team meetings and engaged in conversations on how to keep improving the farm’s output, efficiency, and customer service.

· Created strong friendships and unforgettable memories with my teammates and the volunteers, and genuinely enjoyed working on solo projects.
