I began bussing, banqueting, and catering for Van Ables at sixteen, by the end of my first summer working here I was training to close the restaurant. Closing at Van Ables was a very stressful but worth while experience as it taught me a practical application of leadership skills as I learned to take charge of as few as two other during week nights and as many as thirty plus during eventful weekends involving multiple catering jobs, multiple banquets, and regular restaurant work. I later went on to get my first waitressing job here where I learned to work one on one with customers daily, and I learned to create a professional and enjoyable experience for customers. I later on took these learned skills to Buffalo Wild Wings, were I continue to use these skills as a waitress, a trainer, and a bartender. It was while working here that I also got my serve safe certificate and then used this to purchase a bartenders license in the city of Appleton. It was here that I became familiar with the more lively environment of the bar and its everyday operations. I continue to work here during my time away from school, where I enjoy what I do and who I work with.
