  • Maintaining stock levels in accordance with company policies is my main job, a department called Stow.
  • We receive boxes and totes with the same or various items, which we then scan into the system and stow them into pods, also known as inventory, at our fulfillment centers.
  • Alongside this department, I have learned the Decant department, where we receive the original products in boxes, break them down, and sort them into totes for stow to scan into inventory.
  • I've also been trained in the Pick department, where pods come to us with a customer order that we have to pull out and send in a tote to the pack department, to be packaged and sent out to the customer.
  • The last department I took the time to learn was Pack AFE, which contains more than one item per order, and Pack Singles, which contains only one product to be packaged and sent out.

  • Didn't start off as the Fastlane Lead. I got hired in as an extra hand to help out with the new online grocery service our store was offering. I showed my work by learning and helping out in different departments and picking up extra hours. I was a dedicated employee.
  • They noticed my hard work and offered me the Lead Fastlane Shopper position, which required more responsibility and tasks.
  • These tasks included training new employees about how the online service works, the most efficient way to shop orders, and how to communicate with customers to get the best outcome for the store and customer.
  • Outside of the shopping, I was in charge of receiving and relaying information from corporate about holiday promotions, taking customers' phone calls, and performing any refunds in the POS system for any malfunctions in pricing, along with sale prices not put into our system.

  • I love hiking, traveling and being outdoors. I've also been known to be crafty and love sitting down with something that takes time, energy and mindfulness such as scrapbooking or wore jewelry making.

Accomplishments

  • In high school I was awarded 1st place in my states Division One cross country meet and later ranked 14th in the nation for the 5k after partaking in two national cross country meets in Oregon and California. Alongside that I was an all state runner for track in the two mile.
