Front End Cashier Assistant

  • At Costco, I often do any task that is needed by my supervisor. I hop around to different types of areas and complete multiple tasks.
  • While a cashier is checking out a member, I am taking items out of the member's cart and onto the moving belt. I ask the member if they will be needing a box for the items they are purchasing.
  • I never use anything short of a positive attitude when speaking to members, and my co-workers. I believe this is important so members are leaving feeling good about their experience at Costco.
  • I have my food handler's permit, just in case the food court is short-staffed, and my help is needed.
  • I push carts back into the warehouse that were used by members, I check receipts at the exit, I check memberships at the entrance, I make sure the food court table's are clean, I clean areas that need to be cleaned in general, etc.

  • I was a lifeguard during the summer time for an outdoor pool area. I did this for the summers of 2023 and 2024.
  • I took a class through my employer to become lifeguard certified. This certification lasted for two years. I took a CPR class in March 2023 and May 2024. This ensured I was viable to be in charge of individuals swimming in our facility.
  • I was in charge of supervising one of our three pools at a time. I rotated with my co-workers every ten minutes.
  • I bandaged wounds when needed, and stayed alert in case anyone swimming needed my assistance.
  • If I saw a member of Wilderness Ridge doing something against our guidelines, I made sure to kindly ask them to refrain from it and warn them of the potential outcome of their risky actions.

  • My job as a tanning salon assistant was to do any task the sales associate needed me to do.
  • I wiped down tanning beds, did laundry, and deep cleaned different rooms depending on the day of the week.
  • I always made sure the deep cleaning of the day was done by the end of my shift. When I deep cleaned beds, fans, walls, mirrors, etc. I did my best not to leave a spec.
  • Being on time to my shifts was also a priority and If I needed a shift covered, I communicated with my co-workers and manager so there were zero complications.

  • As a greeter, I always kept a positive attitude. The way I acted was a reflection of the company for which I was working. I always kept this in mind every time I spoke.

  • I was also in charge of counting the money drawer. It was important to me to double-count my drawer and make sure my drawer count was not off.

  • I also took orders on the headset for the drive-through, and I also tended to customers at the front counter.
  • I mostly worked closing shifts throughout the week. I learned how to get my closing tasks done efficiently. My goal was to make sure everything was as clean and sanitized as possible.

Accomplishments

  • When I was apart of my Highschool Cheer team, I was always rewarded with the "Positive Attitude" award each year at our banquets. I believe approaching every situation with a positive attitude serves as a better chance for a positive outcome.

Leadership Experience

  • I had leadership experience when I worked for New Day Coffee + Smoothies. I had the role of being a lead barista.
  • This role put me "in-charge" of my co-workers who were working at the same time as me.
  • I made sure customers were being tended to accordingly, the workplace was clean, food prep of the day was being completed, employees were in their respected "stations" we had enforced, and so on.

Volunteer Experience

  • I served food at homeless shelters with my family on Thanksgiving day in the past.
