Lead Financial Systems Accountant within the Process Health branch of DLA Troop Support Comptroller office. Responsible for ensuring supply chain business processes and programs adhere to federal accounting and financial management standards, regulatory and statutory guidance or requirements. Support agency audit sustainment and strategic planning initiatives, ensuring supply chain leadership is informed regarding the health of operations to ensure management adequately addresses operational or financial risks through internal controls over reporting. Advise functional and staff office leadership on the financial aspect of current operating programs, providing guidance to decision-makers on the financial statement impact, regulatory/policy requirements and implications, GAAP, and financial and operational guidance. Coordinate team workload amongst Process Health resources and take a leadership role by developing plans, assigning workload to teammates, and monitoring status of milestones to ensure team is able to meet strict deadlines and requirements. Consult with senior leadership on communicating audit success and lead Troop Support finance achievements to high-level leadership. Extensive experience interpreting, analyzing, and responding to Independent Public Auditor (IPA) requests for information related to complex DLA Troop Support specific supply chain business processes and programs. Considered a subject matter expert (SME) regarding DLA Troop Support supply chain programs, interpreting financial policy, standards, and guidance to identify operating inefficiencies that adversely impact operational and financial performance. Lead corrective action plan (CAP) development and implementation to resolve Independent Public Auditors (IPAs) documented findings through low-cost solutions that are easily implemented with minimal commitment of budgetary resources or disruption to supply chain efficiency and effectiveness.
Develop detailed responses to audit Provided-by-Client (PBC) requests during the financial statement audit engagement. Cite relevant policy, standards, and regulatory guidance to ensure any information submitted to the IPA is sufficient. Presented written and oral communications to HQ and external audiences effectively to prevent the issuance of Notice of Findings and Recommendations (NFRs) from the IPA that require higher-level reporting to OSD and formal CAP process for remediation. Developed and communicated a detailed written response to DLA’s Pricing Standard Operating Procedure (SOP). Created Internal Controls and improved process workflow standards by effectively writing and editing the Pricing SOP by coordinating with management and SMEs relating to Pricing Policies. Coordinated, communicated, and submitted revised Pricing SOP for review and approval to DLA Finance J8HQ. The Pricing SOP management decision letter was endorsed by DLA’s Comptroller.
Obtained extensive knowledge of end-to-end business and financial processes, which allowed closure of IPA observations across the Order to Cash (O2C), Procure to Pay (P2P), Budget to Execute (B2E), Record to Report (R2R), and Plan to Stock (P2S) business cycles.

This build has been noted as the blue print for all future case management intake systems within Salesforce at TIAA providing efficiency and ease for the user while reducing risk for the company</li><li>Worked on advancements and efficiencies within the Service Level Agreement process including salesforce automation. Implemented continuous improvement projects which reduced specific quarterly reporting tasks from days to minutes as well as the inception of a single budget code to pull penalties from rather than dozens of different budget codes</li><li>Through partnership with operations, updated the standard operating procedures for Client Service Managers concerning non bulk Lost Earning Calculations in 2021 to be submitted primary through plan focus unless through special exception.
