Currently a first-year student earning a criminal justice degree at the University of Arizona, I am looking to further my job experience and knowledge. I am motivated in my personal and professional life to achieve any goal that is set, one of those goals being working at the Federal Bureau of Investigation, further in my future.
During my internship with the Pima County Attorney's Office through the 2023 Summer High School Enrichment Academy (HSEA), I participated in a structured eight-week program focused on law-related education and hands-on experience. Twice a week, I attended sessions covering a wide range of topics, including the criminal justice process, trial procedures, victim advocacy, due process, and trauma response. I also gained insight into specialized areas such as strangulation risk assessment and collision analysis. A key component of the program involved shadowing an attorney mentor in court for at least five hours, giving me a firsthand look at courtroom procedures and legal advocacy in action.
