-Work with Independent Service Providers (ISP) to ensure they are adhering to FMCSA and DOT regulations regarding personnel and vehicles.
-Collaborate with ISP’s to ensure load plans for vehicles are efficient and cost effective.
-Address ISP’s issues with loading of vehicles by ensuring Operations Managers follow up with Package Handlers to fix the problems.
-Communicate changes in the Operating Agreement to ISP’s and answer any questions they may have.
-Complete quarterly vehicle inspections according to the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations and record any defects found. Also, ensure ISP’s correct defects before dispatching vehicles.
-Coordinate with Transportation Service Providers (TSP) to ensure safe and timely dispatch of trailers to and from sorting facility using Transportation Management System (TMS).
-Issue settlement adjustments for TSP trips that are not properly paid on settlements.
-Ensure ISP’s and TSPs are completing customer pickups within the customer defined pickup time window.
-Follow up with external customers to ensure ISP’s and TSP’s are exceeding customers’ expectations regarding pickups and deliveries.
-Communicate customer complaints to ISP’s and TSP’s and collaborate on solutions to correct all issues contributing to the complaint.
-Train and oversee Operations Administrators who are responsible for Quality Assurance processes as well as customer service.
-Lead the Business Compliance Self Audit (BCSA). A monthly audit to ensure all employees are following company policy and procedures. Hold employees accountable to following policies and procedures and discipline employees if necessary. Train employees on proper completion of documents to ensure compliance. Then create an Action Plan for any failed BCSA test to correct the problems.

-Trained package handlers on efficient and safe trailer unloading techniques.
-Trained package handlers on efficient and safe loading of delivery trucks.
-Ensured efficient sorts by ensuring package handler staffing was balanced and making necessary adjustments during the sort.
-Controlled the unload area by utilizing Transportation Management System (TMS) to estimate trailer arrival times and what doors to place trailers on to maximize efficiency.
-Ensured proper load plan was initiated before each sort to ensure packages were routed to the proper truck.
-Worked with Independent Service Providers (ISP) to ensure load quality was up to industry standards. Addressed any issues with package handlers and followed up until issues were resolved.
-Engineered dock vehicle line up to maximize package handler efficiency and safety by factoring in the number of vehicles loaded, size of vehicle, number of packages, and size/weight of packages.
-Participated in the Business Compliance Self Audit (BCSA). A monthly audit to ensure all employees are following company policy and procedures.
-Helped identify safety hazards on the dock and implemented plans to reduce number and severity of injuries.
