  • Crew level duties: reporting for scheduled shifts, proper uniform (complete with a smile), hand washing, cleaning/stocking, cash register accountability, prep, serving customers, opening and closing tasks, operating a headset, multitasking.
  • Team trainer duties: responsible for the same duties as a crew member, cross trained on food and service, maintain a positive and upbeat attitude, responsible for learning dates and holding times, food safety checklist, delegating tasks to fellow crew members, training new hires.
  • Shift lead duties: very similar to team trainers, with the addition of responsibility.   • Assistant manager duties: very similar to shift lead, with the addition of completing POP, placing truck order, communicating shift goals with employees, attend growth classes at Tacala University, safety ambassador with the responsibility of coaching employees on safety tools and measures to prevent incidents, completing new hire paperwork, change order, and product transfers.
  • General manager: one on ones with employees when needed, promotions, demotions, hiring and firing, documenting employees and managers, hosting biweekly manager meetings for shift and assistant managers to communicate results of the store and goals moving forward, attend weekly span meetings with fellow GMs and area manager, follow business flow, staying current with events going on in the area (fair, parades, concerts, ball games, festivals, etc.) to make sure the store was properly staffed and with product to serve the customers, conduct self core audits (food safety and brand standards) to prepare the team for unannounced core audit, completing weekly pest walks, making schedules with a seven day deployment chart (this was my vision for the shift, to make sure the “aces are in their places”, the manager was to deploy their team this way, and adjust if needed), each period complete a bench plan to plan employee growth and promotion with readiness checklists for potential promotions, change order, reviewing camera footage when needed to deal with an issue, read and respond to emails, pour knowledge into assistant and shift leads to promote confidence and effective shift management when the GM isn’t present, celebrate team members (accomplishments, birthdays, graduations, etc.). The GM is responsible for ordering smallwares, uniforms, and work orders for repairs. Build customer base, by following up on customer complaints and suggestions. Payroll. Keep current with employees vacation time, to ensure they were able to use it.
