Summary

I've been involved with programming for myself and others for strength and conditioning the past 12 years. I can easily say that my greatest passion and interest in life is improving myself and others strength and fitness in a scientific and structured way. I was a very competitive powerlifter before going through the special warfare pipeline with a 1499 pound raw total weighing 162lb. I am currently still taking my training/education very serious to improve upon my strength and competitiveness in powerlifting.

While going through the pipeline from September 2021 to April 2023, I didn't recognize many coaches who "walked the talk." Many were out of shape and seemed to lack practical programming in my experience, and in doing so either detrained many candidates or injured them. Along with that, many seemed to take a non specific approach to training and wasted countless hours of our time doing movements that didn't benefit us.

I believe I can make a positive impact on the special warfare candidates, teaching them simple, yet effective programming they can use the remainder of their careers. Also I think it will be beneficial for them to see a coach from the SW community, still in good shape and healthy, lead them through workouts which in turn will have a greater "buy in" mentality making the program more effective.
