Megan Jones

My role:

• Assist the Candle Studio team in developing seasonal candle plans, including reviewing past sales, forecasting quantities, determining product assortment, ordering supplies, communicating with the Purchasing team, making candles, and adding candles to inventory.
• Collaborate with the Glow Gifts assembly team to review gift orders, pull and count products for gifts, build gift boxes, prep materials for wrapping, presentably wrap the items so they bring joy to the recipients, and communicate shipping details to the Shipping team.
• Organized racks and shelves to maintain store visual appeal, engage customers, and promote specific merchandise.
• Accurately processed POS transactions, returning coin, currency, payment cards, and receipts to customers.

I made and served food and drinks to the guests and helped maintain a friendly and attentive work environment at Clean Juice. I loved working here, but they unexpectedly decided they needed to close the store. This was a very fast-paced and fun job, and I’m sad to have to leave.

My role:

• Maintained a clean and organized workspace for optimal productivity and safety.
• Promoted a welcoming atmosphere by greeting customers with a friendly demeanor and promptly addressing their needs.
• Contributed to a positive team environment through effective communication and collaboration with colleagues.
• Cleaned counters, machines, utensils, and seating areas daily.
• Managed time effectively to balance front-of-house tasks and back-of-house responsibilities during busy periods.

• I’ve been an assistant at my local dance studio to help teach and care for the younger kids learning ballet.

I was a babysitter for a few families until COVID-19. I have experience with kids and parents, and good people skills. I babysat for a specific family and helped with their daughter at OHSU while she went through chemotherapy for two years, but she is healthy and older now. I have babysat for multiple families, and I love working with kids.

My role:

• Reassured children when upset, providing emotional support and stability.
• Prepared healthy, age-appropriate snacks and meals.
• Communicated positively with children and guardians.
• Assisted with meal preparation, light housekeeping and laundry to support family with additional chores.
