Recieved Training on admitting new patients to facility, as well as ordering supplies.

• Complete assessments on assigned patients before and after each dialysis treatment. (Approximately 3 shifts of 11 patients per day)
• Complete dressing changes for tunneled CVC and cannulate AVF/AVGs to gain access and initiate dialysis treatments following facility P&Ps.
• Coordinate with Teammates to chart vital signs and monitor patients overall wellbeing while dialysis is in progress.
• Implement the doctor's orders on machine and treatment settings to administer each dialysis treatment.
• Administer IV medications per policy and procedure while treatment is ongoing.
• Educate patients about their kidney disease, labs, medications, treatment options, and symptoms associated with missed dialysis treatments.
• Collaborate within the interdisciplinary team: Nephrologist, Surgeon, Social Worker, Dietician, and Administrators to implement the patients care plan and address emerging needs.
• Troubleshoot dialysis machine errors during setup and active treatment phases.
• Follow and enforce all infection control standards supplied by the facility.
• Follow safety regulations and patient fall precautions for all patients.
• 18 months experience providing dialysis in the hospital or acute care setting, remaining years served in the outpatient clinic setting.
