This fulfillment position has taught me how to manage time and move quickly on my feet in order to fulfill guest orders. I was able to develop quick thinking skills that have benefited me when helping guests on the floor. In this job position productivity was always tracked to ensure fast pace work ethic. I also Followed proper packaging requirements depending on order size and type. Target also trained me in guest service, one of my roles was to deliver pick up order wether it was drive up or in store pickup. Lots of skills were developed and will be taken to apply in other job positions.

Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) – The Landings Senior Care (Night Shift)

Key Responsibilities:

• Resident Care: Assisted residents in memory care with bedtime routines, including transferring from wheelchairs to beds, changing, and ensuring comfort throughout the night.
• Safe Transfers: Utilized proper lifting techniques and equipment to safely transfer residents, reducing the risk of injury for both residents and staff.
• Routine Rounds: Performed regular rounds to monitor residents’ well-being, address immediate needs, and ensure a safe environment, especially for those prone to wandering or falls.
• High-Paced Environment: Adapted to a fast-paced, dynamic setting where quick responses were critical due to the unpredictable needs of memory care residents.
• Personal Hygiene Assistance: Provided nighttime personal care, including incontinence care, repositioning, and occasional showers as needed.
• Housekeeping Duties: Completed nightly cleaning tasks around the facility to maintain a sanitary environment, including laundry services for residents.
• Task Management: Effectively prioritized and managed multiple tasks simultaneously, ensuring that all resident care and facility duties were completed efficiently.
• Team Collaboration: Worked closely with other CNAs and nursing staff to ensure consistent, high-quality care and immediate response to any changes in residents’ conditions.

Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)

While working at the VNA, I significantly expanded my knowledge of clinical patient care across multiple specialties. As a CNA, I was assigned to a provider with a structured daily schedule, where my responsibilities included:

• Patient communication: Calling patients to confirm appointments, verify personal information, review medication lists, and conduct depression screenings.
• Vital Signs Monitoring: Accurately measure and record vital signs to support clinical assessments.
• Diagnostic Testing: Performing various point-of-care tests based on the patient's reason for visit, including Strep, COVID-19, A1C, Hemoglobin (Hemo), and others commonly used in family practice settings.
• Specialty Care Support: Assisting in diverse clinics such as Gynecology, Pediatrics, Podiatry, and a Diabetic Clinic, where I conducted specialized tests and prepared for different procedures tailored to each specialty.
• Workflow Efficiency: Managing both scheduled appointments and accommodating walk-in patients, which enhanced my ability to work efficiently while maintaining a high standard of patient care.
• Clinical Skills Development: Balancing speed and quality care, I developed strong multitasking abilities, time management skills, and a patient-centered approach in a fast-paced environment.

This role strengthened my clinical competencies, adaptability, and commitment to delivering compassionate, high-quality care.

• As a brand associate I initially learned how to standardize the clothing and aso worked side by side with the manager to make sure the visuals looked perfect. I was also taught how to work efficiently and move quick, by working in the fitting room and on the register. On the register is where I showed a lot of improvement when it came to social skills. I was able to strive in pitching credit cards and have people enroll in our programs. The two years at this job showed me I could play a leader in different positions. I also built trust with the company and was able to move my way up to a lead position in Asset Protection. Meaning I had to report any theft, and remind the rest of the associates of the safety topic of the month. This job has expanded my experience which will be beneficial when going into different careers.

Being and expeditor taught me how to move in a fast pace environment to meet the costumers expectations. Getting the food to look presentable and have it out on time was my main concern as a expeditor. Having the mentality of the customer always being right was key when working in a setting like this. Patience was necessary when working in an environment like this,and I was able to master it. This role taught me factors of discipline and responsibility, that I will continue to apply in future jobs.
