I've worked as a spa receptionist in the hospitality industry for nearly 20 years. I'm a highly-motivated employee with a desire to take on new challenges. I have a strong work ethic, adaptability, and exceptional interpersonal skills. I'm adept at working effectively unsupervised and quickly mastering new skills.
My primary responsibilities were taking spa reservations in person, and over the phone, making confirmation calls, putting together end of day reports, responding to emails, and training new employees. I enjoyed
guiding our guests towards their best spa experience, while booking in a manner to best maximize availability, and fairness. I strive to make sure all guest, and providers, have a clear understanding of any necessary details. I take pride in a strong knowledge of spa products and services. I firmly believe in keeping busy, and use any available downtime to keep the shop dusted and well stocked. As a timeshare property, we have the unique advantage of getting to know our guest on a more personal level, as we see them return often.
My role at the Fairmont Kea Lani was pretty much identical to what I did at Spa Helani. I assisted with several changes from it evolving from Spa Kea lani, to remodeling and reopening as a Willow Stream Spa. They were nominated best resort spa in Hawaii two years in a row, by Travel and Leisure magazine
I worked at The Heavenly Spa as both a spa booking agent, and spa attendant. As well as keeping the spa stocked and presentable, I assisted with booking spa and salon appointments.
My first job working as a spa receptionist was in a small historic hotel in the tropical location of east Maui. They have a beautiful spa, and offer unique treatments such as Watsu. I similarly worked booking appointments, balancing the schedule, assisting the therapist, and keeping the spa and locker rooms tidy and in good working order.
*I'm comfortable working in a fast-paced environment that requires multitasking
* I'm very proficient in spa booking programs, and I'm eager to learn any new software required of me
* Although I've mostly worked in the spa industry over the last 20 years, I also have past experience as a bank teller, a bartender, and a barista
