During my time volunteering as a cashier, I learned how to communicate with children. Being that the space was a little league, most adults would send their kids to the counter to get a snack and I would gladly assist and talk to them. I also learned how to communicate with the adults. Whenever they wouldn’t want their kids to get a pretzel because they already got one before, I knew how to break the news gently to the kids. Overall, communication with both adults and children is something I learned and illustrate in my daily life.
