During my summer role as a Medical Assistant at South Florida Gynecology Oncology. I had the invaluable opportunity to work closely with both a Nurse Practitioner and a Doctor, gaining hands-on experience in a specialized medical setting. My responsibilities included assisting in a variety of clinical procedures, such as Pap smears and endometrial biopsies etc, where I helped prepare patients, set up instruments, and ensure a sterile environment. This experience allowed me to develop a deeper understanding of gynecologic oncology, refine my clinical skills, and strengthen my ability to support healthcare providers in delivering high-quality care to patients.
My time in this role solidified my passion for working in the medical field and provided me with a strong foundation in women’s health.
