I have been at my current restaurant since 2011
I have displayed an amazingly strong work ethic
always on time and ready to give my best to all of the guest that come out to dine. I have been a team trainer since 2019 to help up and coming servers and one thing I pride myself on is “connecting “ . Not just greeting a table with “hello can i start you off with a drink”
Not saying that is the worse thing but i would prefer . “Hello everyone
how are you doing today ? I want to welcome you folks to the restaurant
my name is Mike and I’m gonna be taking care of you today “ “Before i get into taking your order let me just tell you about our amazing appetizer special we got going on today
that I just can’t get enough of” etc
ect. I like to embrace the guest with warmth and welcoming and get their attention solely on the experience of being in the restaurant like tunnel vision. I am a people person for sure
I have so many regulars contact info on my phone that i plan on bringing along with me to your restaurant when you hire me so we can have even more business . Haha. I have a great sense of humor
I know the balance of hospitality and work
where you want to take care of the guest but you also want to pre-bus the table as your doing that
or run that entree from expo to your co-workers table because you have a second and are a team player . I am a seasoned vet who has been in the game long enough to have mastered the plays
but isn’t ready for retirement and still plays the game with that hunger I’ve had since i first started. Thats probably the best analogy to describe me in a nut shell. Aside from serving I became a bartender at my restaurant back in 2022
I was trained by who I considered one of the top elite bar managers in Connecticut the fabulous John LaRusso. Our restaurant was understaffed and we couldn’t seem to keep a thorough bar staff so John asked me if i would be interested in cross training and becoming a bartender and i obliged and the rest is history . Working behind the bar at Plan b burger bar is high volume and extremely fast paced . Most of the time its just me and thank God for my bar back/ mini bartender Camilla we get hit on Thursday night for music bingo. I’m making anything from prickly pear margarita to a french martini and anything else uou can think of. Working as a bartender i am making drinks for my bar guests
the entire 9 plus table lounge and banging out tickets for the servers all with a smile
high energy and a strong “sense of urgency “ If you want to see more you’ll have to hire me and upgrade to the premium package where you can actually see the skill sets live in person . Trust me its worth it .
