My name is Michael Mueller. I live in Castle Rock, Colorado with my wife, Allison, and my four exceptional children, Lea, Cameron, Weston, and Brooklyn. I have returned to college after a twenty-five-year hiatus to finish a degree in Biblical Studies, intending to continue to Seminary. In my next career incarnation, I would like to minister the Word of God. God has placed a calling on my heart to pursue full-time ministry, illuminating that path at CCU.
I formerly owned and operated a restaurant in Denver called The Cozy Cottage. I was involved in the restaurant for 41 years where I learned the value of hospitality in creating meaningful connection with people. Based upon the teaching of John 13:4, (Jesus), "Rose from supper. He laid aside His outer garments, and taking a towel, tied it around His waist. Then He began to wash the disciples' feet and wipe them with the towel that was wrapped around Him" (ESV). If this is the model of selfless service to others, then , as Christians, we must model this in our preaching, service, ministry, and outreach. Hospitality, being the self-less service ot another, is one of the most rewarding things a person can do. I was successful in the restaurant industry because I enjoy connecting with people in meaningful ways and fundamentally, I love people. Through my extensive experience in hospitality I am seeking a place to serve In Christlike selflessness. My current life verse is Acts 20:24, "But I do not account. My life of any value or as precious to myself, if only I nay finish my course and and the ministry that I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify to the gospel of the grace of God."
I am currently. Seeking ordination through the Evangelical Free Church of America, and expect to be ordained within a year.
Chaired and hosted a Men's fellowship gathering (2012-2022) that included Bible study, accountability, outreach, and fellowship. We met weekly to encourage one another in Spiritual growth, biblical manhood, with the understanding that godly men are the foundation for Bible oriented families.
I am currently involved in building two Celebrate Recovery ministries in a tandem effort between Ridgeline Community Church and Front Range Church in Castle Rock. As part of the leadership team, I teach the lessons, participate in accountability with participants, lead step studies, and coordinate worship. (11/23-Present).
I lead the young men's discipleship program at Ridgeline Community Church, teaching young men about the dangers and perils of bad coping mechanisms, and how to live life in the best way possible through faith in Christ and the Christian worldview.
